About

I’m Anna Cobler, a dedicated community midwife and the founder of Bloom Midwifery LLC, where I offer personalized, compassionate care for all reproductive lifecycle needs.

I grew up in Essex Junction, Vermont and after high school moved to Connecticut to earn a BS in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Connecticut in 2019. I worked in Clinton, CT as a research and development engineer for three years while simultaneously fulfilling my true life’s passion, homebirth midwifery. I enrolled part-time in the National College of Midwifery (NCM) December 2021 to earn an Associate of Science in Midwifery. I sat for and passed the National Association of Registered Midwives (NARM) exam, earning the credential of Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) in May 2025. Over the last four years, I have served over 100 families while working with multiple midwives in the CT community both as an assistant and primary midwife. I am happy to provide references!

My mind and heart BLOOM at every birth experience I have the privilege to be invited to witness. I am beyond excited to dedicate my life to support physiological birth in a home setting throughout Connecticut.

I maintain up to date NRP and BLS certifications. I average 30 continuing education hours every year and practice skills and drills on a bi-monthly basis. I also attended the 2023 Midwifery Wisdom Conference in Denver, CO where I gained hands-on practice for birth emergencies, including shoulder dystocia, unplanned breech and hemorrhage management.

My goal as your midwife is to ensure you feel supported, informed, and confident every step of the way.
